Galway has second-highest number of road deaths so far this year

Galway has had the second-highest number of road deaths this year.

15 people have lost their lives on Galway roads so far in 2025 - that's compared to five in all of 2024.

Dublin has had the highest number of road fatalities this year, with 17 people losing their lives in road traffic incidents.

When the figures are analysed per capita, Mayo, Donegal, Roscommon and Galway have recorded the highest rate of deaths.

The Parc survey also found that one in three road deaths this year have involved people aged 30 years and under.
