Galway International Arts Festival Chief defends decision to resign from 2020 board as negotiations begin

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Chief Executive of Galway International Arts Festival has stressed his decision to leave the Galway 2020 board was only in the interest of best practice.

John Crumlish's resignation from the board follows the departure of Galway 2020's former Chief Executive Hannah Kiely last month and its creative director, Chris Baldwin earlier this year.

Mr. Crumlish says it was always his intention to step down from the board when negotiations would begin between the arts festival and Galway 2020 about GIAF's project for 2020.
