The consumer watchdog has issued enforcement actions against 18 traders, including several in Galway, for a range of consumer rights breaches.
The 31 enforcement notices were issued to convenience stores, homeware shops, and a pub, as well as online businesses located in Galway, Dublin, Wicklow, Donegal, Waterford and Kerry.
Centra, Costcutter, Homesavers, Spar and Mr Price outlets are among those named today.
The Galway traders who have had enforcement actions issued against them include:
Lucy McEvilly trading as Connemara Horse and Country, Clifden was issued one fixed payment notice for failure to display prices and Owen & Ciaran Durkin trading as Costcutter, Baile na hAbhann, was issued one fixed payment notice for failure to display unit pricing.
The fixed payment and compliance notices were the result of inspections and investigations carried out by CCPC officers in store and online.
