A Galway vet has been named as the new President of Veterinary Ireland.
Eoin Glynn, of Gorteen Acre Clinic in Athenry and Tuam, was presented with the chain of office at the Veterinary Ireland AGM.
The Corofin man gained an interest in veterinary through his love of horses and showjumping.
As president, he wants to encourage more students to practice veterinary in Ireland.
