Gardaí are appealing for information after a man was hospitalised after being assaulted in the city.
The incident took place at around 11.30am yesterday (Mon Oct 13th), outside a commercial premises at Baile an Choiste, Headford Road.
Gardaí say a number of males were involved and a man in his 40's suffered serious injuries, and was taken by ambulance to UHG.
His injuries are described as serious, but not life threatening.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
