Gardaí are hosting two special property marking workshops in the city and in Salthill this week.
The first is taking place tomorrow at the Eyre Square Centre from 12-3pm, and is an opportunity to help protect your belongings against theft.
Items that can be brought to the workshop include electronics and tools.
Meanwhile on Friday in Salthill, another free property marking workshop is taking place, along with a Safe in the Sun Tips event - alongside Galway City Local Safety Partnership and Healthy Galway City.
Friday's event is taking place on the green near Salthill car park on the prom between 11am and 1pm.
What you need to know:
Bring your smaller handled objects, eg Electronics, tools, etc for marking.
This event is a great opportunity to help protect your belongings against theft.
If you have a driving licence, please bring that along too.
Marking your property makes it easier to identify and recover stolen items, promoting community safety.
