Galway Bay fm newsroom - The county council has granted planning approval for new water reservoir infrastructure on Inis Méain.
Irish water has been given approval for raw water storage tanks and site development works on the Aran island.
The development is subject to 8 planning conditions.
One condition stipulates that a revised layout plan for part of the development be submitted to the council reflecting a screening proposal.
