An 'Open Day to Say Goodbye' to the University of Galway's James Hardiman Library is taking place next month.
It's as library services are set to be moved to the new Dr Karen Guinee library, currently being built on campus.
The new library, expected to be completed next year, will offer more than 2,000 study spaces.
The James Hardiman Library has been at the heart of the campus for 50 years, but will no longer be the go-to for study space or host regular library services.
A free family friendly event is being held on Saturday July 25th from 11am-3pm, featuring exhibitions of archives.
Meanwhile the University is encouraging people to submit their own memories and stories of the library online.
