Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly and People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy have lost their legal challenges over the attendance of super junior ministers at cabinet meetings.
As it stands, the government has four super junior ministers who attend cabinet meetings, but do not have voting rights.
They are Chief Whip Mary Butler, Galway East TD Seán Canney, Galway West TD Noel Grealish and Deputy Emer Higgins.
The Opposition TDs argued the attendance of super juniors at cabinet breached a constitutional cap on the number of members of government.
However, in separate judgements delivered this afternoon, the High Court has dismissed both their legal actions.
