House prices in Galway city increase by 12%

Galway Bay fm newsroom - House prices in Galway city have increased by 12% in the first three months of 2021.

The latest report from property website Daft.ie shows the average price of a home is now €326 thousand, this is 103% above its lowest point.

In the rest of county, prices in the first three months of 2021 were 2% lower than a year previously.

The average price of a home is now €206 thousand, 63% above its lowest point.

The average national listed price of housing rose by 7.6% in the year to March 2021.

This marks the second quarter in a row where prices are nearly 8% higher than a year previously, roughly twice the rate of inflation seen during 2018 and 2019.
