House prices in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon rise by 2.1%

Residential property prices increased by less than 1 per cent, on average, in the year to August.

However, prices in Galway, Mayo, Roscommon rose by 2.1% - with places outside of Dublin generally seeing larger increases.

CSO figures show the median price for a home bought in the 12 months to August was 320-thousand euro.

The lowest median price was in Longford, at just under 160-thousand euro.

The highest was in Dun Laoghaire, at just over 634-thousand euro.
