The HSE has confirmed it has no intention to purchase a city nursing home it's been operating for the past two years.
The matter of Coral Haven Nursing Home at Headford Road was raised at a meeting of the HSE Health Forum West this week by City Councillor Shane Forde.
The HSE took control in 2024 after serious ongoing issues under the previous operator.
Management confirmed this week it never considering buying the home as it requires major investment - but said a private operator has expressed interest.
Fine Gael Councillor Forde said he finds it hard to believe considering the huge demand for beds.
