A new information pack has been launched on the recently introduced changes to parking payment methods in the city.
Galway City Council has faced considerable criticism over the issue, as pay and display machines are no longer in use.
The machines haven't been in use for quite some time and are now hidden away beneath covers - but confusion still persists among the public with regards the alternative.
The most common is the Galway City parking app - but payments can also be made at a payzone shop, or by phone call.
But repeated meetings at City Hall have heard councillors claim many are just not paying, and they generally put it down to insufficient information.
Another point of contention is whether or not some of the parking fines issued would hold up in court given the patchy circumstances.
Galway City Council says this information pack was developed with 'literacy experts' and contains full details of all the payment methods, as well as parking charges, and different zones in Galway City.
It can be downloaded at GalwayCity.ie.
Physical copies are also available and people can contact City Hall to find out more.
