The Irish Centre for Human Rights has issued an open letter to the University of Galway President over its ties with Israeli institution Technion.
It comes ahead of a protest at 2PM today outside President David Burn's office, which has been organised by the The University’s Campus Anti-Genocide Coalition.
It's the latest demonstration in what has been a long-contested stand by the group over the University's research collaboration.
The letter, signed by 15 academics from the ICHR, says the University's refusal to cut the contract makes it 'complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people'.
It's calling on the University of Galway to immediately cease collaborating with Technion.
