The Irish Heart Foundation has launched a guide on taking care of your heart in partnership with Galway City Council, Healthy Galway City and co-designed with local community groups.
It's called "My heart health: A helpful guide to taking care of your heart" and aims to improve awareness and understanding of cardiovascular disease.
The guide as launched in Westside Library by Deputy Mayor of Galway Alan Cheevers and is available from the Heart Foundation and online at irishheart.ie
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of premature death and disability in the country.
