Lack of signage blamed for penalty point issues on Ballybane road

A lack of signage is being blamed for motorists receiving penalty points while driving in the Ballybane-Castlepark area.

City East Councillor Shane Forde says those who don't know the area are not aware they cannot turn right at the junction, as there is no longer signage to inform them.

Works have been taking place along the route as part of the active travel scheme.

Fine Gael Councillor Forde says the works are causing many issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible
