Local TD: Govt has no interest in tackling "price gouging" energy companies

That's according to Galway West TD Mairead Farrell, who's raised a recent report in the Dáil.

She pointed to the fact the report from the International Energy Agency shows companies are buying electricity at a third of the selling price.

Sinn Fein Deputy Farrell argued they're simply lining the pockets of shareholders at the expense of ordinary people - and Government are allowing it.
