The Gaeltacht Minister has hailed the newly announced multi-million euro Education and Youth Centre in Indreabhán as a 'game-changer' for young people in the Gaeltacht.
The new facility will be based at the Coláiste Lurgan site and offer a multi-purpose hall for sports and entertainment events, classrooms, a kitchen, offices and parking.
It'll be owned and managed by Údarás na Gaeltachta and during the summer months, it'll be used by Coláiste Lurgan to run a summer college.
Minister Dara Calleary was in Indreabhán this morning, where announced that the tender process for the building has now commenced.
Speaking at the announcement, Minister Calleary says that the centre will help to develop the local economy.
Mícheál Ó Foighil, manager of Coláiste Lurgan, says that its great to see the project advancing.
