Man in 50s dies at UHG following crash on N84 in Mayo

A man in his 50s has died after being taken to UHG following a crash outside Ballinrobe on the N84 at Carrowkeel in Mayo yesterday.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene involving a vehicle and a bicycle at around 9pm yesterday.

The man in his 50s sustained serious injuries and was brought to University Hospital Galway, but was later pronounced dead.

The road remains closed with local diversions in place and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses
