Man in serious condition at UHG following Tuam Road crash

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A man is in a serious condition at UHG following a road crash on the Tuam Road this morning.

The single vehicle crash happened at Cloonacauneen at around 5am.

 

The man, who's in his 30's, was the only occupant of the car, which is understood to have hit a wall.

He was taken to UHG where he's described as being in a very serious condition.

Emergency services remain at the scene of the crash and the road has been fully closed to facilitate an examination of the scene.

Diversion are in place at Claregalway and at Parkmore and motorists are advised to expect delays.

It's expected the Tuam Road will remain closed for a number of hours.
