Residents in the Menlo area of the city are "trapped" in their driveways at peak times, due to high volumes of traffic.
That's according to local councillor Frank Fahy, who's raised the issue at a meeting at City Hall.
He said it's due to high volumes of traffic using local roads as a "rat-run" to avoid the Kirwan Junction.
Fine Gael Councillor Fahy also claimed certain roads - like Monument and Coolough Roads - are in desperate condition and in urgent need of works.
He's says he understands why people use the roads as "rat-runs" - but he's asking drivers to show a little respect for local residents.
