Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind and coastal warning for Galway coming into effect at 9pm tonight.
Strong and gusty westerly winds will affect the counties of Galway, Clare, Kerry and Mayo and will remain in place until 6am tomorrow.
Possible impacts include difficult travelling conditions and possible debris from the displacement of loose objects.
A status yellow Gale warning is currently in place for all coastal waters from Slyne Head to Fair Head to Carnsore Point and on the Irish Sea.
That came into effect this morning at 11.05 and will remain until 7pm this evening.
