Motorist caught doing 112 kilometres an hour in 100 zone in Milltown

A motorist has been caught doing 112 kilometres an hour in a 100 zone in Milltown.

The driver was detected breaking the speed limit on the N17 on today's National Slow Down Day.

The aim of today’s initiative is to promote safer driving and reduce speed-related collisions nationwide, coinciding with increased road use for Christmas holidays.

So far today, members of An Garda Síochána, along with GoSafe mobile and static safety cameras, have detected nearly 392 vehicles travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit.
