A motorist has been caught driving at just over 200 kilometres an hour on the M18 in Kinvara.
The driver was detected doing 201km/h in the 120km/h zone.
Gardaí are carrying out a dedicated road traffic enforcement operation until January 5th.
So far over 600 vehicles have been seized for a range of offences under the Road Traffic Act, 1961.

In addition, 330 Fixed Charge Notices were issued for using a mobile phone while driving and 85 for seat belt offences.
