An independent national review has praised Galway County Council’s online pre-planning service.
It's been highlighted as an example of national good practice by the Office of the Planning Regulator as part of its national programme.
It commended the system for allowing prospective applicants to generate a site-specific planning report before making a formal application
The review noted this was helpful in providing applicants with the likes of zoning and flood risk considerations at an early stage.
