A new committee has been established to boost the delivery of outdoor amenities across Galway.
The initiative, led by Galway County Council, would include trails, parks, and water-based infrastructure.
The committee consists of representativess from local Government, state agencies, and the community and voluntary sectors.
Their focus will now be on creating a first draft of a new Galway County Outdoor Recreation Strategy, covering 2026 until 2030.
