New indoor food market approved for city centre

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A new indoor market is to be established in the city centre.

The city council has granted planning permission to change the use of the former printworks at the Connacht Tribune building at Market Street.

Ortamount Limited now has permission to change the printworks into an indoor licenced food hall and market with dining space.

There are 16 conditions attached to the development including a restriction on the space occupied for alcohol sales.
