Galway Bay fm newsroom - Plans have been approved for a new pastoral centre in Bushypark.
St. James' Parish Council has been granted planning permission for the centre and effluent treatment plant in the grounds of the church and cemetery.
The city council has imposed 10 conditions on the development of the pastoral centre.
One condition stipulates that before construction begins, a list of uses for the centre must be submitted to the council for written agreement.

Also, the developer must facilitate the archaeological assessment of the site in Bushypark.
