Work has resumed on a new transport strategy for Galway, following a delay of several years pending the decision of the Ring Road.
The National Transport Authority is once again reviewing the Galway Transport Strategy, towards the development of a new Galway Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy.
It will provide a long-term framework for the development of transport infrastructure and services across the Galway Metropolitan Area over the next 20 years.
It's expected the draft strategy will go to public consultation later this year, with a finalised plan expected next year.
