The number of families raising children through Irish in the Gaeltacht is slowly falling.
A new report by Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta analysed figures from recent censuses and found the number of families doing so fell less than one percent from 2016 to 2022.
This is despite a growth in population in Gaeltacht areas including Connemara
