From Galway Bay FM newsroom- The two occupants of a car which went into the sea at Salthill Prom have had a lucky escape.
The car mounted the footpath and went into the water late this afternoon opposite Coco Cafe.
Emergency services attended the scene.
The two occupants escaped serious injury and efforts are now underway to remove the car from the water as it's an environmental hazard.
