A man has been arrested and a substantial amount of Ketamine has been seized in Galway city
As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs and related crime in the region, the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit arrested a man and seized suspected ketamine
Gardaí stopped a car at Bóthar na dTreabh in the city and seized suspected ketamine with an estimated street value of €63,000.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested and detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
In a follow-up search at a residential property in Dublin 15, Gardaí seized €5,000 in cash and a quantity of cocaine.
The man has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis and investigations are ongoing.
