Over 100 people attend International Women's Day march in city

More than 100 people have taken part in a march in Galway city to mark International Women's Day.

The event was organised by the Galway Feminist Cafée and it saw people donning posters and placards walking from Eyre Square to Spanish Arch yesterday.

It's aim was to call for an end to sexual violence and harrassment and greater equality and supports for women.

Flowers were also laid for the more than 160 people, many believed to be children, who were killed during the opening phase of US and Israeli attacks on Iran last weekend.
