Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over 26 thousand people descended on Ballybrit yesterday for Ladies Day at the Galway Races.
That's a decrease of almost 4 thousand on attendance figures recorded last year.
Bookmakers were also down significantly - taking in just over €1 million yesterday, compared to almost €1.5 million on the same day in 2017.
Meanwhile, there was a drop of almost €78 thousand in Tote figures - which yesterday stood at almost €1.1 million.
