A Monaghan Paralympian will attempt a world record ferry pull tomorrow at Rosaveel Harbour.

Amputee Shane Mc Loughlin is bidding to be the first man to pull the 120 tonne Saoirse na Farriage ferry over 5 meters to add his name to the record books.

The attempt will take place at 11 am tomorrow at Rosaveel, with Aran Islands Ferries providing the vessel.

Shane lost his leg in a farm accident and has competed as a Paralympian in shot putt for the past 6 years.
