No oral hearing is needed for the current assessment of the Galway Ring Road project.
That's according to Galway West TD John Connolly, who has received the confirmation from An Coimisiún Pleanála
A decision on the long-awaited project was expected by the end of this month, but Fianna Fáil Deputy Connolly expects that to be pushed out
He says, however, that it's definitely positive that an oral hearing is not necessary as it would have slowed the process down:
