The Land Development Agency has lodged plans for 356 cost rental and social homes at Galway Port.
The Amharc Atalia development will include four blocks of apartments, along with a public plaza, walking path, communal gardens, play areas, retail units and a creche.
There'll be 172 single-bed apartments, 169 two-bed and 15 three-bed units.
If the project is approved by city planners, construction is expected to start towards the end of 2027, with the first tenants to move in during 2029.
