A tender for the building of the new Galway Hospice at Ballyane is expected to be issued within the next few weeks.
The HSE has confirmed that planning will be lodged next year, with the new building to be hosted on the Brothers of Charity site.
It's hoped the design team can be appointed in early 2026, making way for those plans to be lodged soon after.
