Galway Bay fm newsroom - Portumna residents and businesses are being urged to back efforts to develop a Blueway on Lough Derg.
Blueways are recreational trails based along lakes, canals and rivers, which provide routes along scenic areas of rural Ireland.
The initiative aims to bring activity and accommodation providers as well as local businesses together to provide a comprehensive experience to visitors.
A free workshop on the initiative will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday the 27th of April at the Irish Workhouse Centre in Portumna.
