President Catherine Connolly has cancelled her engagements today after her husband became unwell at an event yesterday.
President Connolly was hosting an event for ambassadors and consular representatives at Áras an Uachtaráin when Brian McEnery fell ill.
As a result, she will not be attending an event in Galway today as planned.

She's scheduled to attend events in Galway tomorrow and Saturday, and it's understood they will continue as planned.
They include the launch of Scoil Gheimhridh Joe Steve in the Cois Fharraige area tomorrow, and the official launch of the new Clan stand at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday.
