The President of Ireland Catherine Connolly has delivered her first Christmas message.
The five-minute piece is a mixture of English of Irish, and pays tribute to members of the Defence Forces serving abroad, and victims of conflicts around the world
She has also paid tribute to those supporting the homeless, along with caregivers, hospital and emergency service workers.
Catherine Connolly said Christmas is a time to look forward to a new year filled with possibility and hope.
