Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Mayor of Galway is to travel to the White House this month on the invitation of President Donald Trump.
Mayor Noel Larkin is one of 15 delegates from Ireland to receive the prestigious invite.
He will travel to the US as part of a wider trip to promote the city.
This will involve visits to Seattle and New York where Galway will be marketed as part of St. Patrick's day festivities.

Mayor Larkin says it's a great honour and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to the White House in Washington DC.
He says his message for President Trump will focus on the undocumented Irish in America.
