Rainfall warning for Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A rainfall warning has been issued for Galway and Munster.

MET Eireann has issued the status yellow alert ahead of long spells of thundery rain.

The national forecaster says surface water and spot flooding is likely, with accumulations of up to 40mm possible.

The weather warning comes into effect at 4pm and will remain in place until 4am tomorrow.
