Park Rangers at National Parks in Connemara, the Wicklow Mountains, Glenveagh and the Burren will be able to fine people who use disposable barbeques under new legislation.
It comes as efforts continue to control wildfires in parts of the country, with a number of retailers stopping the sale of disposable barbeques because of fire risk concerns.
