A new report has shed some light on how much data the Galway public consumes on their phones, computers and smart devices.
It's as eir has published it's first ever Digital Ireland Report, tracking progress between 2019 and 2025.
Computers, tablets, mobile phones, smart watches, home assistants - no matter where we are these days, we're always connected.
This new report from eir tracks demand for digital connectivity and data usage since 2019, and offers insights at a county level.
In Galway, the average person consumes over 18GB a month on their mobile phone.
And in the home, those with high-speed broadband consumed an average of 6.3TB in 2024.
Nationally, eir says broadband traffic has doubled since 2019, while data usage on its mobile network has grown by a whopping 700 percent.
