Road access to Silverstrand to remain closed pending review

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Road access to Silverstand will remain closed until next week pending a review.

The measure was introduced last evening as the car park was at capacity with large volumes of traffic attempting to access the popular beach.

Galway city council says it will remain closed for the rest of the week until access will be again reviewed on Monday.

Access will remain open to pedestrians, cyclists and emergency vehicles during this time.
