Search operation underway in Kylebrack for missing hikers

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A search operation is underway in the Kylebrack area for a hiking group reported missing this morning.

It's understood the group, consisting of three males, made contact with Valencia Coast Guard shortly after 9am.

Two units from the Galway Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched to the area along with Gardai and staff from forestry body Coillte.

A search operation is underway this lunchtime in the Kylebrack area and rescuers have not been able to contact with the group.
