Sinn Féin has selected its candidate to represent the party in the upcoming Galway West by-election
Former city councillor and Menlo resident Mark Lohan was chosen at the party's selection convention in Moycullen last evening.
He was up against four other hopefuls, and says his priorities are access to affordable housing and the cost of living crisis.
It brings to ten the number of candidates confirmed so far to contest the election, which is set to be held on either May 15th or 22nd.
There are two independent candidates in the mix, with candidates also confirmed for Fine Gael, Independent Ireland, Aontú, the Social Democrats, Labour, Greens and People Before Profit.
The Fianna Fáil selection convention is expected to take place soon, and more details can be found here.
