Six Galway primary schools have completed the University of Galway Uni4U programme.
239 pupils from Radharc na Mara Mervue, Scoil Bhríde Shantalla, Scoil Chroí Íosa Newcastle, Merlin Woods, Mercy Primary School in the city and Scoil San Phroinsias Tirellan.
Over a six-week period, they visited the University campus one day each week
They participated in workshops which included economics, engineering, chemistry, philosophy, law, zoology, palaeontology, computer coding and sport.
The outreach initiative led by the University's Access Centre gives primary school pupils an introduction to university life and the opportunities that higher education can offer.
