A recent Tuam MD meeting has received clarity in relation to permission for companies to break ground to instal broadband.
The matter was raised by Councillor Andrew Reddington, following queries from people who had experienced vans outside their homes, claiming to be installing broadband ducts.
Council officials confirmed that any person breaking ground on a public road must carry the licence with them while carrying out the process.
